Louise F. Dupuis
Louise F. Dupuis, 77, of Salem, passed away peacefully at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston following a courageous struggle with cardiac issues. Born in Lynn and raised in Salem, she was the loving daughter of the late Henry A. Dupuis and the late Florence L. ‘Blanche’ (Lemelin) Dupuis McCulley.
Louise was employed by the former Eagle Can Company of Peabody for nearly thirty years. With the closing of the Eagle Company, she began working for the Salem School Department in the cafeteria of the Horace Mann School. Her last job was a crossing guard for Salem.
Louise was a people person who loved a good laugh. She was a foster parent for thirty five years and always found a way to help anyone in trouble. Louise was devoted to her large extended family and many friends and was a first-rate care giver. Her presence and candor “telling it as it is” will be greatly missed. She was a lifelong member of Ste. Anne Parish, Salem.
She is survived by her sister June T. Robinson and husband John of Salem, her dear friend and companion of fifty three years, Claire G. Michaud of Salem, her aunts, Theresa Faulling and Jeannette Johnson as well as a her special godchild Marie Robinson whom she travel with and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews, two great-great niece and nephew and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to her visiting hours on Friday, December 4, 2020 at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Route 114 / 1-A] Salem from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Due to the pandemic, guests must comply with Massachusetts guidelines, wear protective face coverings and practice social distancing.
