Each year the staff of Perry Funeral Chapel conducts a memorial service to honor the memory of each person who has passed away during the past year. First held in 2016 it is our hope that every person in attendance will find this service special and meaningful. At this year's service we will honor the memory of everyone who has passed away between November 1, 2019 and October 31, 2020.
The holiday season is an especially difficult time for those who have suffered the loss of a loved one and we pray this service will be helpful in preparing you for that time. These past few months have been particularly hard because we grieve together as a community and we have been unable to do that since March. We recognize that being able to physically gather with other people who have experienced a loss can be comforting. Unfortunately, we are unable to do that this year. Because of the Covid-19 pandemic we have altered our plans for our fifth annual memorial service. This year's service will be broadcast on Perry Funeral Chapel's Facebook page as well as our website, perryfuneralchapel.com, on Monday, November 23, 2020 at 7:00 PM. This service is intended to be an uplifting one filled with an inspirational message and music. You will be able to find the service under the obituary tab on our website along with a video tribute honoring those we have served in the past year. We would also like to be able to present each family with a gift to remember their loved one by. In the days following the memorial service, staff members and members of our families will deliver your special gift. We will only be able to deliver to those that are local. For those that are not, please contact the funeral home if you would like your gift mailed to you. Additional ornaments will be available for purchase by contacting the funeral home. It is our hope that in 2021 we will be able to return to having our annual memorial service in person. If that is the case, each family that we have served this year will also receive an invitation to attend our sixth annual service in 2021. This letter is only being sent to one family member.
