Alizira (Figueiredo) Bento, age 96, passed away on Oct. 2, 2020 at the Chicopee Gardens Nursing Home. She was born on Dec. 29, 1923 in Portugal, a daughter of the late Joao and Palmira Figueiredo. Alizira enjoyed music and crocheting. She is predeceased by her husband Ataliba Bento who passed away in Sept. 14, 1985. She is survived by her sons Jose Bento and his wife Susana of Chicopee and John Bento and his wife Rosinda of Ludlow; 4 grandchildren, Mark Bento, Timmy Bento and his wife Laurie Bento, Sonia O’Connor and her husband Joe O’Connor and Samantha Bento; along with 5 great grandchildren, Lucy, Jack, Brodie, Grady and Wiley. All services are private. Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery.
