Patricia A. (McCarthy) Gordon, age 79, of Norton, formerly of Carver and North Attleboro, passed away, in the presence of her loving family, on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at Wingate at Norton. She was the beloved wife of the of the late Richard J. Gordon, to whom she was wed for over thirty-five years at the time of his death in 2014.
Born in Dorchester, MA on May 20, 1941, she was a loving daughter of the late James and Jessie (Domohowski) McCarthy.
Pat grew up in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston and was educated in Boston schools. She had made her home in Norton for three years and formerly resided in Carver and North Attleboro.
Prior to retiring, Mrs. Gordon had worked as a clerical secretary for Dr. Sharon Mullane and had previously been employed at John Hancock Life Insurance. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her love for her grandchildren was unsurpassed. Pat also enjoyed trips to area casinos.
She is survived by her devoted daughters: Christine J. Mooney and her husband Chris of Bellingham and Victoria Gordon-Ellis and her husband Jesse of Carver. She was the adoring grandmother of Morgan and Colin Mooney and Logan and Malorie Ellis and is also survived by 7 stepchildren.
Burial will take privately at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne and visiting hours have been omitted.
