James Gordon Bridges, Jr., 77, Anderson, died June 10, 2020 at Vermillion Place.
He was born on December 11, 1942, in Anderson, the son of James G. and Johanna K. (Kirkegaard) Bridges, Sr.
He was a proof reader and writer at Warner Press for almost 20 years.
He attended Park Place Church of God for most of his life and currently attended Fairmount Church of God where he played the piano. He was an avid reader and Facebook user.
He is survived by his sister, Janice K. (Daniel) Gaunt and brother, Jerrold Lee (Karen) Bridges; two nephews, Joseph (Christen) Gaunt; Peter A. (Candace) Gaunt and niece, Kelsey E. Bridges; great-nieces and a great nephew, Reilly; Benjamin and Evelyn Ray Gaunt.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Rev. Bill Cornell of Fairmount Church of God officiating. Burial will follow at East Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Samaritan's Purse.
