Richard A. Leitch, Sr., age 80, of Norton, formerly of Randolph died peacefully at home, surrounded by his devoted family on Friday, May 1, 2020. He was the husband of Dorothy K. “Dottie” (Kozec) Leitch and had resided in Norton for the past two decades.

Known to all as Dick, he was born in Brockton, MA on December 3, 1939 and was a son of the late James R. and Frances M. (Ireland) Leitch. He grew up and was educated in Whitman.

Dick cared deeply about family and community. Dick’s interest and skill in transportation included owning and operating his own trucking company, serving as the manager for Webster Trucking of Walpole, MA and serving on the Greater Attleboro Taunton Regional Transit Authority (GATRA) advisory board. Dick was a longtime real estate broker and a proud member of the Norfolk Union Lodge A.F. and A.M., Freemasonry for half a century.

In addition to his wife Dottie of sixty years, survivors include a son Richard A. Leitch, Jr. and his wife Kim of Norton and their sons Ryan P. Leitch and Kyle B. Leitch, a daughter, Deborah A. Leitch and her companion D.E. Shilo Frampton of Merrimack, New Hampshire and a sister, Sally A. Leitch of West Bridgewater.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a graveside funeral service at the Newland Cemetery, 70 Newland St. in Norton on Tuesday, May 5 at 11:00 A.M.

With respect to these times, visiting hours are omitted. In lieu of flowers, as a tribute to Dick’s memory and with thanks for all they do, contributions to the Norton Police and Fire Departments, and Norton Cupboard of Kindness food pantry are suggested.
