Donald T. “Spuddy” Mayo, age 74, of Mansfield, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2020 at St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford.
Born in Boston, MA on September 21, 1945, he was a loving son of the late Albert, Sr. and Frances (McLaughlin) Mayo.
Don grew up and was educated in Dorchester and had made his home in Mansfield for thirty-five years. Prior to retiring, he had worked as a laborer for Boston Moving Company’s and when younger was employed at Zeppy’s Bakery in Boston. He loved spending time amongst family and watching television.
He was the dear brother of Anne Solano and her husband Edmund of Marlborough, Allan Mayo, Sr. of Quincy and the late Albert Mayo, Jr., Frances Biederman, William Mayo, Sr., Frederick Mayo, Sr., Kathryn Bernner, Lawrence Mayo, Diane Galley and Roberta Mayo. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Services, along with burial at Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Mansfield will be private and visiting hours are omitted.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield.
