Carroll D. Prive`, 90, passed away on March 24, 2020 at Herritage Hall West Nursing Home in Agawam. She was born on June 3, 1929 in Waterloo, Quebec, Canada and lived and attended school in St. Albans, VT. She then moved to Massachusetts and attended O’Connel’s Business School for 2 years. She married Rosario “Bob” Prive` on June 28, 1947 at St. Mary’s Church in Willimansett, MA and they were married for 55 years. Bob was deceased on Jan 9, 2002 in Feeding Hills. She called Chicopee her home for 52 years and for the last 23 years she lived in Feeding Hills, MA. Carroll worked at Albert Steiger Department Store, Springfield Plaza until retirement, but being a wife, mother and grandmother was her occupation and she enjoyed every minute of it. She was a member of the Agawam Senior Center. She leaves her daughter Sharon Ivers of West Springfield, 2 sons, Robert and his wife Sandra (Shallies) Prive of Feeding Hills and Lawrence and wife Jill (Danley) Prive of Cocoa, FL; a granddaughter Melissa (Ivers) Lynch of Washington, D.C., a grandson James Prive of Hudson, FL; 1 great granddaughter Riley Marie Prive; 2 step granddaughters, Sonja Ashe of Longmeadow and Rebecca McQuade of Hampden; 1 step grandson, Eugene Turner of Chester; 2 sisters, Marlene Pouliot of Chicopee and Delores Brodecki of Springfield. She was predeceased by 1 brother Peter Gauthier of N.H. She leaves many more wonderful nieces, nephews and great- grandchildren whom she loved and enjoyed. All services will be private.
