Judith M. (Thurston) Riordan
It is with great sadness that the family of Judith Mae (Thurston) Riordan of North Fort Myers, Florida, announces her passing after a long illness. On February 20, 2020, at the age of 80 years, Judy passed peacefully, with her family by her side.
Judy was born January 10, 1940 in Fall River, Massachusetts. She is predeceased by her parents Gardner and Doris Thurston of Somerset, Massachusetts; her husband John “Jack” Riordan of North Fort Myers, Florida and her brother Alton Thurston, of Punta Gorda, Florida.
Judy is survived by sisters, Marlene Timberlake, Joyce Alexander and Marilyn Henderson of Somerset, Massachusetts, Penny Bouchard of Cape Coral, Florida and brother Wayne Thurston of Sebastopol, California.
Judy leaves behind children Eugene Buck of North Carolina, Deborah (Patnaude) Cote, her husband Jim Cote, Mark Buck and Loreen Pinkham all of North Fort Myers, Florida. 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, throughout Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Florida.
Judy lived an exceptional life. She was former co-owner and President of AccuTech Insulation of Holyoke, Massachusetts along with her husband Jack, as Vice President. Judy was President of the Del Tura Women’s 9-hole women’s golf association and a member of the “Del Tura Chics”. She was an avid golfer, a volunteer for Hospice and enjoyed quilting, card making, ceramics, knitting, crocheting, cards, traveling and boating.
Judy’s passion was time spent with her family and friends.
Her family would like to thank Judy’s dearest friends and family for their companionship and support during her illness and also very grateful for the Hospice House in Cape Coral, Florida for their exceptional care.
A funeral service will be held at the Potter Funeral Home at a later date.
