New Bedford – Dina M. (Branco) DaCunha, age 62, of Fairhaven, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2020 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was the former wife of Jeronimo DaCunha.
Dina was born in Nogueira do Cravo, Portugal to Osvaldo R. Branco and Maria Augusta (Silva) Branco. She had worked as a C.N.A. for Alden Court Nursing Home for many years. She also previously worked for Cape Cod Sportswear and North Manufacturing. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and her dog.
She is survived by her former husband, Jeronimo; son, Roberto C. DaCunha and his wife Jennifer; grandchildren, Alyssa, Amelia and Anthony DaCunha; siblings, Fernando Branco, Lurdes Silva, Alice Vilacha, Rui Branco, Connie Leal and Rosa Pimentel; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Dina’s visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, February 18th from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Home. Her funeral will take place on Wednesday morning, beginning in the funeral home at 9:30 A.M. and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel at 10:30 A.M. Burial will be private.
