Jacob T. "Jake" Winters

PALMER ~ Jacob T. “Jake” Winters, 19, of Palmer, was Called Home on Friday, January 10, 2020. He passed into Eternal Life at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by the care and comfort of his loving family. He was born in Springfield on July 30, 2000, a beloved son of Wendy R. (Adams) Zepke and the late Sean D. Winters who was Called Home on August 30, 2003. He was raised in Chicopee and had moved with his family to Palmer in 2010. He graduated from Granby High School in 2018 and was furthering his education, currently attending Holyoke Community College. He was an avid sports fan, enjoyed listening to music and loved playing basketball. Above all, Jake loved spending time with his family and his many dear friends. He will be deeply missed by his beloved mother and step-father, Wendy R. Zepke and her husband, Eric, of Palmer; his loving maternal grandmother, June E. (Adams) Babbidge of Chicopee; his loving paternal grandparents, Mary (Horn)McNee and her husband, Jack, of Chicopee; his cherished aunt and uncle, Ruth “Aunt Pink” Jennings and her husband, George “Pee Wee” Jennings, of Rehoboth; and his many dear aunts, uncles, cousins, numerous friends and loved ones. He will also be deeply missed by his feline companion, his cat Molly whom he lovingly referred to as “Money June”. Jake’s family will receive friends on Sunday, January 19, 2020 from 1p.m. to 4 p.m. which will be followed by a 4 p.m. Celebration of Life Service at the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Fairview Chapels, (413-533-3307), 506 Britton Street, Chicopee, MA 01020, (funeral home will open at 1 p.m.). The funeral home parking lot is located in the rear. His burial will be private.
