Theodore Ian MacLean, 74, of Chester, NH, died Tuesday December 3, 2019 in Parkland Medical Center in Derry, NH. He was born in Montreal, Canada on March 13, 1945, a son of Theodore and Elsie (Belbin) MacLean. Ian moved to the USA from Canada in the mid-60s. Ian was a lover of the outdoors; he would spend his free time kayaking, hiking, skiing, camping or building something. He was also a proud member of the Lions Club.
He is survived by four children, Cheryl MacLean-Smith, Marc MacLean, Ryan MacLean and Nick MacLean; four grandchildren, Isabel Smith, Abi Smith, Aidan MacLean and Shay MacLean who lovingly referred to him as "Grandpa Mac" and his brother, Robert MacLean.
Calling hours were held on Sunday, December 8, 2019 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM in the Peabody Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry, NH. A Private burial will take place in the Great Hill Cemetery, Rt. 121A, Chester, NH in the spring. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
