New Bedford – Theresa (Currier) Lewis, age 77, of New Bedford, passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Savoy Nursing Home. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond Lewis.
Theresa was born in Lawrence, MA to the late William and Alfreda (Palmer) Currier. She had worked as a stitcher at a local clothing manufacturer for many years. In her later years, she had worked as a shoe saleswoman, a bartender and a bouncer.
She is survived by her 6 children, Raymond Lewis, Matthew Lewis, Mark Lewis, Pete Lewis, Leeanna LaCharity and Susan Dwyer; 22 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; as well as her beloved dog, Shadow. Theresa was predeceased by 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
Theresa’s funeral services are private.
