Joseph T. Williamson, Jr., age 54, of Fall River, formerly of Attleboro and Mansfield, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Thursday, August 1, 2019.
Born in Attleboro, MA on October 18, 1964, he was a loving son of the late Joseph T., Sr. and Marilyn S. (Frick) Williamson.
Joe grew up and was educated in Mansfield. At an early age he developed a love and passion for sports. While growing up in town, he played little league baseball, midget football, high school football and was a true New England sports fan.
Joe worked the majority of his life in construction and was a talented asphalt paver. He was a devoted father, an adoring grandfather, a dear brother and a loyal friend to many. He had made his home in Fall River for the past five years, where he was an active resident at Steppingstone.
He is survived by his devoted daughter Sarah E. Tangney of Attleboro. He was the cherished grandfather of Brooke and Owen and the dear brother of Lisa J. Williamson of Franklin. He is also survived by many friends in the Mansfield area and at Steppingstone in fall River.
Visiting hours, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Saturday, August 10th from 2:00-4:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield.
A service in celebration of his life will be held at the conclusion of visitation at 4:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home.
