Patricia Tompkins, 83, of Derry, NH, passed away, Monday July 15, 2019, at High Point Hospice of Haverhill, MA. She was born July 16, 1935 in Quincy, MA and was a daughter of the late John and Mildred (Gullickson) O’Neill. She was raised in Andover, MA and resided in Methuen, MA, prior to relocating to Derry in 1977.
Patricia was a homemaker who shared time between her home on Beaver Lake and Port Charlotte, FL. She was a former board member of the Beaver Lake Improvement Assoc. and was an active member of the Port Charlotte Village Assoc., she loved playing cards with her friends, but the most important thing to her was time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Randi Lee Mayfield of Methuen; two sons, Robert Tompkins, Jr. of Derry, and Mark Tompkins and his wife Diana of Derry; her beloved grandchildren, Melissa, Brandon and his wife Darice, Emily and fiancé Pat, Allie, Robbie III, Maryanne, Danielle, and Keenan; three great grandchildren, Dominic, Riley and Briella, a sister and her husband, Joanne and Joe Schembri of Methuen. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 62 years, Robert J. Tompkins, Sr. and a sister Rosemary Spitalere.
Following cremation, calling hours were held Thursday July 18, 2019 from 5 to 7pm at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A private burial is planned in Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen, MA.
