Sally J. Russell (Rafuse) of Canton passed away April 24th at Season’s Hospice in Milton. Born and raised in Norwood, she graduated from Norwood High School. She worked as a Secretary for Cumberland Farms for 15 years and formerly worked for John Hancock in Boston. She lived in Canton for over 50 years where she worked as a Crossing Guard for many years.
Beloved wife of the late Robert J. Mother of Paula Galvin and her husband William of Canton, Robert J. Russell, Jr. of Raynham, Karen Studholme and her husband David of Easton and Susan Langan and her husband Brian of Easton. Sister of Phyllis Donlon of N.J., Brenda Zonfrillo of Norwood, Robert Rafuse of Attleboro and the late Maxine Weldon, Shirley Grant, Helen Puopolo, Bettylou Pelletier and Gloria Dramis. Grandmother of Billy Galvin and his wife Laura, Jackie Galvin, Emma Russell, Shawn Studholme, Nathan Studholme, Maeve Studholme, Matt Langan and Owen Langan. Great grandmother of Roy William Galvin. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Sunday 3-7 pm. Funeral service at the Congregational Church of Canton 1541 Washington St. Canton Monday morning at 10.
