John F. "Jack" Cox, 69, of Westport, unexpectedly passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Nancy L. (Cambra) Cox.
Mr. Cox was born in Brighton, MA, son of the late Herbert Cox and the late Alice (Smith) Turchin and had been a longtime resident of Westport. He had worked as a technician for Verizon. His passion was playing golf and he enjoyed spending time with his friends at the Westport Social Athletic Club.
Survivors along with his wife include his son: John T. Cox of S. Weymouth, MA; his daughter: Kristin E. Cox of E. Weymouth, MA; step-daughter: Christina M. Cambra of Westport; brother: Edward Cox of FL and Scituate; 7 grandchildren: John, Thomas, Matthew, Brian, Gavin, Erin and Mya; and many nieces and nephews.
He was the step-son of the late Philip Turchin.
Funeral service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Sunday, March 17, 2019 at the Potter Funeral Home at 4:00 P.M.
Calling hours will be Sunday, at the funeral home, from 2-4 P.M., prior to the service.
Interment will be private.
