New Bedford – Alfred Arruda Fumo, age 69, of New Bedford, passed away on Friday, March 8, 2019 at Tremont Health Care Center. He was the beloved husband of Deborah (Rosella) Fumo.
Alfred was born in in St. Michael, Azores to Joseph and Alice (Arruda) Fumo. He had worked as a seamster for Brittany Dyeing and Printing Co for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah; his 2 children, Alyssa Wright and Richard Fumo; 2 step-children, Raymond Medeiros and Melissa Cardoso; 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; as well as 2 sisters; Emily Alves and Christine Fumo and 2 brothers; Joseph and Steven Fumo. He was also the grandfather of the late Cameryn Fumo and brother of a late brother and a late sister.
Alfred’s visiting hours will be held on Wednesday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Home with a service to be held during this time.
