Randy Babbitt, age 62, of Plainville, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 22, 2019 at Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston. He was the beloved husband of Cherry S. “Missy” (Bliss) Babbitt, to whom he was recently wed.
Born in Attleboro, MA on December 27, 1956, he was a loving son of the late Russell, Sr. and Shirley (Perreault) Babbitt.
Randy grew up in Plainville and was a graduate of King Philip Regional High School in Wrentham. He proudly served his country for four years in the United States Marine Corps before being honorably discharged.
A self-employed carpenter, Randy was gifted with a talent and was well known for his love of woodworking and building custom furniture.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his devoted children: Justine Babbitt of Plainville, Bianca Babbitt and her companion Nelson Rebelo of South Attleboro, Beau Babbitt and his wife Edita of Canada and Michael Quinn of Franklin. He was the dear brother of Kimberly Lafonte of California, Diane “Dee-Dee” Santos of Bristol, Rhode Island and the late Russell Babbitt, Jr. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren: Mitch, Gemma and Nella.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a memorial service in celebration of Randy’s life on Saturday, March 2nd at 2:30 P.M. in the Plainville Baptist Church, 62 South Street, Plainville.
Burial will be private and visiting hours have been omitted. Those wishing may remember Randy with a contribution in his memory made to the Plainville Baptist Church.
