KLINGS, Arnold of Boca Raton, Florida, formerly of Brooklyn, New York passed away peacefully on February 21, 2019. Arne was born in Brooklyn on April 14, 1938, the devoted son of the late Morris "Max" and Cecilia Klings. He was a graduate of Hunter College where he received a BA in economics. He went on to work in merchandising. Arne met the love of his life Gloria (Gringas) in 1962, they married in 1963. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves. He had a passion for musical theatre, music, history and traveling the world with his beloved wife Gloria. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his loving children Dr. Elizabeth S. Klings of Jamaica Plain and Eric Klings and his wife Susan of Freehold, N.J. He was the cherished grandfather of Paige Klings. He is also survived by his sister Phylis Shiffrin and his brother-in-law Joseph Maimone and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. A Celebration of Arne's Life will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at West on Centre, 1732 Centre Street, West Roxbury. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Pulmonary Center at the BU School of Medicine, 72 East Concord Street, R-304, Boston, MA 02118.
