Obituary

Worcester - George S. McMahon, 79, passed away after a long illness on Tuesday, January 16, 2019. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 52 years, June A (Lindquist) McMahon. He leaves two sons and one daughter, George S. McMahon, Jr., and his wife Vickie of Daytona Beach, FL, Steven G. McMahon and his wife Cheryl of Rockland, ME, and Melissa A. (McMahon) Tooley of Oxford. He also leaves a brother, William J. McMahon and his wife Nancy and 2 sisters, Virginia Rose and Linda McMahon; 3 sister-in-laws, Joyce Bellerose, Phyllis DeNitti and Virginia Samra; 9 grandchildren, Christopher G. McMahon, Brittany Ann Ladue, Nicholas V. McMahon, Christopher R. Pierson, Patrick M., Caitlin E., and Shayla T. McMahon, and James A. and Jacob A. McCleery; 5 great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.

George was born in Cambridge, Ma., son of William J. and Virginia M. (Guberant) McMahon. He graduate from Boys Trade in Worcester Ma. He served in the U.S. Airforce from 1959-1963 as a Radio Airman. He worked for Data General/EMC as an Analog Design Engineer, retiring in 2007. In his spare time George like to travel and tinker. He was always trying to learn new things, whether it was new cultures or new technical skills, it didn’t matter.

There will be a private service for the family at Nordgren Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Cemetery, West Boylston.
