Robert G. Prenda, Jr., 32, of Martha's Vineyard, passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at Martha's Vineyard Hospital. He was the son of Dawn M. (Muckle) Tripp and step-son of Gary A. Tripp of Westport and the late Robert G. Prenda.
Bobby was born in New Bedford and attended Nazarene Christian Academy and went on to graduate from New Bedford High School where he played basketball and lacrosse. He later moved to Martha's Vineyard where he had been employed as a carpenter.
Survivors along with his mother and step-father include his maternal grandfather: Roy Muckle of CT; his brother: Joshua J. Prenda of Acushnet; his sister: Darcey M. Prenda of Fall River; step-grandmother: Norma C. Tripp of Westport; 2 step-sisters: Brittany A. Freitas of Dartmouth and Hayley E. Tripp of Fall River; along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was the grandson of the late Joseph and Gloria Prenda, step-grandson of the late Harold F. Tripp, Sr. and step-brother of the late Amanda L. Tripp.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Monday, January 7, 2019 at the Potter Funeral Home at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours will be Sunday from 4-7 P.M.
Interment will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
