James, Ernest or EJ to everyone who knew and loved him departed this life on Saturday, December 22, 2018 from natural causes. EJ was very LOVED and Cared for by his Mother Adlean James, Stepdad Kenneth Smithson, Brother Bill, his personal care attendant Charline & her children Joel, Jayline, Jailah (coconut head), Maryluz, Brenda, Melissa and Minerva, his favorite beautiful Nurse Lourdnie Cherisol as he would say, his case manager David Barber EJ called him BoB.
EJ was born with Cerebral Palsy in Vicksburg, Mississippi and later moved with his mom to Boston. Massachusetts. He attended many educational programs throughout his life. EJ was Kind, Funny, Silly, Loving, Polite always saying "Thank You" or "I'm Sorry" and had a generous soul. EJ was also a little stubborn when it came to drinking a glass of water but he loved his Mountain Dew soda (lol). EJ always had a Big Smile or just had words of advice. We could not ask for a better Son, Stepson, Friend than EJ.
In his spare time, he loved watching television he had every cable channel but his favorite three channels were: Syfy, AMC, and USA. He loved watching WWF wrestling "Monday night Raw" as he would say and loved watching scary movies, playing games such as Checkers, Spider Solitaire cards on his computer or tablet and was very competitive. EJ's favorite color is Purple he loved colorful cool bracelets, hand bags, key chains to decorate his wheelchair he called it his Cadillac. He was a one of a Gem that will be so very much missed. We will keep him in our hearts and minds and prayers forever.
He appreciated all who helped take care of him during the years of his life. He may be gone, but he will never be forgotten.
Visitation will be held in the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre Street, WEST ROXBURY on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery, Boston.
