Obituary

WORCESTER___ Patricia A. (Snelling) Balser, 84, of Worcester died on Tuesday, December 17, 2018 at CareOne at Millbury. Her husband, Edward P. Balser died in 2014.

She is survived by her children, son, Scott Balser of Worcester; daughters, Sandra Lott and her husband Christopher of Fiskdale, Marybeth “Ginty” McGuirk and her husband George of Sutton and Kris Moussette and her husband Jonathan of Mansfield; brother, Brad Snelling of Morrill, ME, sister, Sandra Cook of Searsport, ME, 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by a son, Barry Balser. She was born in Worcester, a daughter of Stanley and Marian (Chabot) Snelling.

Mrs. Balser worked as a bartender for the DCU Center for many years retiring in 2011. She previously worked at Commerce Bank and Wyman Gordon, Co. She was a passionate bingo player who also enjoyed an occasional trip to Foxwoods. Patricia loved spending time in Maine and enjoyed blueberry picking and cooking. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff of CareOne at Millbury for their kindness and attention provided their Mom during her stay.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, December 28, 2018 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Pepe’s Italian Restaurant, 274 Franklin St., Worcester. In lieu of flowers, please consider a charitable donation to the ALS Association, Mass. Chapter, 685 Canton St., Norwood, MA 02062.
