Arleen M. (Westgate) Stanikmas, 58 of Fitchburg, died Sunday, December 16th, surrounded by her loving family in UMass-Memorial Hospital. She is survived by four sons, Timothy R. Coutsonikas of Stuyvesant, NY, Norman B. Stanikmas, III and his wife, Laura of Bellingham, Peter M. and Andrew J. Stanikmas both of Worcester; her daughter, Melissa M. Greeson and her husband, Matthew of Webster; her brother, Joseph Westgate and his wife, Karen of Orlando, FL and four grandchildren, Makayla and Jakob Greeson and Tyler and Liliana Stanikmas. Her former husband, Norman B. Stanikmas, Jr., predeceased her.
She was born in Cranston, RI, the daughter of Clifford and Barbara (Borden) Westgate. Arlene was a member of Christ the King Parish; enjoyed cooking, arts and crafts but her greatest love was time spent with family, especially her grandchildren.
Her funeral is Thursday, December 20th at 11:00 a.m. in O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston, RI. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 9:00 until the time of the service in the funeral home.
