Helen R. (Carr) Eastman, age 81, of Mansfield, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at the Life Care Center in Attleboro. She was the beloved wife of the late James G. Eastman, Sr.
Born in Attleboro, MA on August 6, 1937, she was a loving daughter of the late Russell S. and Ela M. (Walker) Carr.
A Mansfield resident for most of her life, Helen was educated in Mansfield schools and was a graduate of Mansfield High School.
Prior to retiring, Mrs. Eastman had worked as a certified nurse assistant at the Ellis Nursing Home in Norwood and was previously employed for twenty-five years in the Mansfield school system.
Helen was a member of the St. John the Evangelist Episcopal Church in Mansfield and treasured the times spent amongst family and friends.
She is survived by her devoted children: James G. Eastman, Jr. of Attleboro and Dawn McAulay of Mansfield. She was the dear sister of Warren Carr of Corrina, Maine. She was the cherished grandmother of five grandchildren and great grandmother of one grandson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was the special friend of the late Joan Wagner and the late Robert “Bob” Travers and their families.
Services and burial will be held privately and visiting hours have been omitted.
