Obituary

Victoria L. (Stewart) Maki, 79, of Worcester died Monday, November 26th in St. Vincent Hospital. She leaves her husband of 62 years, Edward G. Maki; two sons, Christopher E. Maki and his wife, Karen of Oxford and Michael E. Maki, Sr. of Rutland; a daughter, Donna A. Belsito and her husband Robert Luby; a son-in-law, Donald Parker, of Worcester; six grandchildren, Donald Parker, Michael Parker, Shannon Lee, Kristin Maki, Daniel Maki and Michael E. Maki, Jr. and eight great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Cheryal Parker.
She was born in Lewiston, Maine the daughter of Vinal and Elizabeth (Downs) Stewart. In 2008, Victoria retired from the Worcester Public School where she was a teacher for over 30 years. She started at Wawecus School where she had a passion for art and English. Mrs. Maki enjoyed gardening, cooking and visiting Popham Beach, ME and Island Pond, VT. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family.
Funeral services and burial will be private. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 1661 Worcester Road, #301, Framingham, MA 01701. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue is directing arrangements.
