WORCESTER___Thaddeus (Tadeusz) J. Sobiech, 71, of Worcester died on Friday, November 23, 2018 in Rose Monahan Hospice. He is survived by his wife of forty-six years, Genevieve (Wyka) Sobiech. He also leaves his children, James T. Sobiech and his wife Martha of Laredo, TX; Erik M. Sobiech and his wife Angela of Palm Bay, FL, daughter Julie M. Cambridge and her husband Joel of Attleboro, MA; six grandchildren, Evan, Ryan, Ethan, Ashley, Chloe and Colton; brother, Roman Sobiech and his wife Anna of Beaufort, SC; sister Jane Jachimszyk and her husband Walter of Auburn. He leaves his loved in-law family, including nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, many cousins and friends. He was born in Morogowo, Poland, a son of Konstanty and Aleksandra (Rodowicz) Sobiech and immigrated to the United States in 1962.
Mr. Sobiech worked as a machinist for PCC Precision Tool Group and later Metso Co., from which he retired. He attended St. Mary’s School and graduated from Doherty High School. He was a frequent communicant of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church. He was a longtime member of the St. Mary’s Boosters, the 240 Club, the White Eagle Club and Sokol (the Falcons). Ted was a good-natured helping man who was always willing to give a hand.
The family would like to thank the hospice providers of VNA Network, for their support, kindness and care to Ted during his illness.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., Worcester with a Mass at 10:30 a.m., in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Worcester. Calling hours in the funeral home are Tuesday, November 27,2018 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery.
