Obituary



Worcester – Alfred P. Gosselin, 86, of Worcester, passed away peacefully in Notre Dame Long Term Care Center on Monday, November 19th after a short illness.
Mr. Gosselin was married for 62 years to Beverley A. (Graton) Gosselin, who died in 2013. He is survived by a daughter, Denise J. Healey and her husband, James of Worcester; two sons, Paul A. Gosselin of Whitingham, VT and David F. Gosselin and his wife, Angela Henson of Lexington, KY; four sisters, Sr. Theresa Gosselin S.S.A. and Sr. Constance Gosselin S.S.A. both of Marlborough, Madeline Manfield and her husband, Richard of Charlton and Marcelle Trackerman of Uncasville, CT; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchild and many nephews and nieces.
Al was born in Worcester, son of the late Henri and Hilda (Trudel) Gosselin and is also predeceased by a daughter, Jeannine Brady who died in 2012; an infant son, John Gosselin; three brothers, Eugene, Charles and Francis Gosselin and two sisters, Jeanne Bonin and Irene Robichaud.
Mr. Gosselin worked manufacturing shoes and steel, helping customers at Arkus Pharmacy, and plumbing for the Roto Rooter Company. In retirement he led travel groups on six continents for the Greendale Men’s Club where he was a former president. For the past six years he has happily lived at Notre Dame Du Lac Assisted Living where he made many friends in the community and especially enjoyed spending time with his best friend Theresa Boover.
The funeral will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday November 26 in Notre Dame du Lac 555 Plantation Street, Worcester. Entombment will follow in Notre Dame Mausoleum, Worcester. Calling hours will be held on Sunday November 25 from 5 to 7 PM in the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. Worcester.
