New Bedford – Vivian L. O’Brien, age 90, of Dartmouth passed away on Friday, November 2, 2018 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Leonard P. O’Brien and daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Lawrence.
Vivian was born in New Bedford and had worked as a stitcher for Cornell Dubilier.
She is survived by her children, Michael O’Brien and Thomas O’Brien and his wife, Audrey; grandchildren, Laura DaSilva, Jason Gilmore, Kerri Carreiro and Sara O’Brien; great-grandchildren, Jessica, Charlotte and Kai. She was also the mother of the late Maureen Gilmore.
Vivian’s visiting hours will be held Tuesday from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Home. Her funeral will be Wednesday morning in the funeral home at 8:45 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Julie Billiart Church in Dartmouth at 10:00 A.M. burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
