Obituary

WORCESTER___Edward Lech, 76, of Worcester died on Monday, October 22, 2018 in his home with his family at his side. He is survived by his wife of fifty-five years, Irena (Bruderek) Lech. He also leaves his children, Marek Lech and his wife Monika of Worcester, Krzysztof Lech and his wife Renata of Millbury; six grandchildren, Adrian, David, Thomas, Alexandra, Julia and Jakub; brother Stanislaw Lech and sister Zofia Wisniewska, both of Poland; many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a daughter Malgorzata Lech. Born in Myszyniec Poland, he was a son of Teofil and Anna (Ropiak) Lech.

Mr. Lech immigrated to the United States in 1991. He was educated and worked as a shipwright in Poland. He worked as a metal worker for Worcester Gear Works and later worked construction for Greenwood Industries retiring in 2007. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and working in his garden. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed.

The funeral will be held on Friday, October 26, 2018 from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward Street with a Mass at 10:30 AM in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward Street. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
