Gregory Thompson, 71, of Worcester died Sunday, September 16th in UMASS Memorial Medical Center – University Campus. He leaves his wife of 47 years, Maria A. Carrozza; a daughter, Dariana Schultz and her son, Dominic.
He was born in New York, New York the son of Richard and Dorothy Thompson. Gregory worked for the YMCA and the Boys and Girls Club on Ionic Avenue. He enjoyed working with the teens. After retiring, Gregory enjoyed spending time gardening. His favorite pastimes were listening to music and photography. Gregory was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam War.
His funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 20th at 6:00 PM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will be private. Calling hours are Thursday, September 20th from 5:00 until 7:30 PM in the funeral home.
