Worcester – James W. Mitti Jr., 61, of Worcester died on Saturday, September 8th in the UMass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus.
Mr. Mitti is survived by his wife, Mary Ann (Hallen) Mitti; his two children, Carly M. Mitti of Oxford and Nicholas J. Mitti of Worcester; his step children, Stephanie and Mark Lacroix both of Worcester; his brother, Scott J. Mitti and his wife, Diane of Dudley and two nephews.
James was born in Worcester, son of the late James and Phyllis (Dee) Mitti and is a graduate of North High School. He worked for many years as an assistant engineer at the Norton Saint Gobain Company and later worked for the WRTA as a scheduler.
He was a tremendous sports fan and liked the Boston Bruins but he especially loved his New York Yankees and New York Giants. Mr. Mitti enjoyed spending time with his family and his dog “Free” and liked taking trips to Misquamicut Beach.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 15th at 1 PM in Emmanuel Lutheran Church 200 Greenwood St. Memorial contributions in memory of James may be made to the Seven Hills Foundation 81 Hope Avenue Worcester, MA 01603. Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. is assisting the family with arrangements.
