Obituary

Judith A. Borbone 70, of Worcester, passed on August 28, 2018 after a brief illness. She leaves her brother Joseph A. Borbone of Springfield, IL, a niece Laura J. Summer and her husband, David of Salem; two nephews, Joseph A. Borbone, Jr. and his wife, Cheryl of West Boylston, and Christopher J. Borbone and his wife, Summerly of Sturbridge. She also leaves those who assisted her, her cousin Roberta Ziegler of Shrewsbury, and her friend Dianne Demers of Worcester. She was also grateful for the staff and other residents of Christopher Heights Assisted Living for the care and compassion they showed her. She was predeceased by her father, Joseph Borbone and her mother Ruth E. (Carlson) Borbone Cofsky.

Judith graduated from the former High School of Commerce in Worcester in 1966. Before graduation, she began a career at State Mutual Life Assurance Company which lasted for 38 years through its changes to Allmerica Financial and Hanover Insurance. She retired in 2003 as an internal auditor. After her retirement, she became very active in the local chapter of the Mended Hearts, Inc. and served as its President and Chairman of the Visitor Program. She was life-long member of the parish of Our Lady of the Angels Church.

A visitation will be held Wednesday September 5th from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. at O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with her funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery.
