Dorothy Louise (Majewski) Kulig, 87 of Millbury, passed away after a brief illness on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 surrounded by her loving children. Her husband Stanley W. Kulig died in 1992.
She is survived by her son, Dr. John Kulig of Millbury; two daughters, Kathleen West and her husband Brent of Leicester and Linda Magoon of Sutton, NH. She is lovingly remembered as “Grammie” by her five grandchildren, Jessica West and her husband Steve Isaacson, Michael West, CW2 Gregory West, Jeffrey Kulig and Jennifer Magoon. She also leaves behind her loving companion Chester Roy of Millbury; a sister Virginia Rusin of NJ., brother-in-law, Dr. Gerald Croteau of Taunton; sister-in-law Ruth Majewski of RI., and several nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. She was predeceased by her sister Eleanor Croteau and two brothers, Theodore Majewski and his wife Carol and Martin Majewski. Dorothy was born in Worcester a daughter of the late Stanley and Katherine (Kaczmarek) Majewski.
Mrs. Kulig graduated from the former Commerce High School in 1949. She started her secretarial career at the State Mutual Life Insurance Company. She retired in 1997 from the Glavin Regional Center after seventeen years of service. Dorothy was a life-long member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church in Worcester. She enjoyed participating in activities and events at the Millbury Senior Center and found great pleasure in reading, shopping, doing crossword puzzles and traveling with her family.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward Street, Worcester with a Mass at 10:30 A.M. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward Street, Worcester. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours in the funeral home are Tuesday, August 14, 2018 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
