SPENCER: Kenneth J. Arsenault, Sr., of Crestview Drive died Friday, August 10 in his home surrounded by his family after a long illness.
He leaves his wife of 60 years, Maxine (Bickford) Arsenault, a son Kenneth J. Arsenault, Jr. and his wife Rebecca of Barre, three daughters; Pamela J. Benoit of Spencer, Carol A. Lord and her husband Doug of Brookfield and Kimberly M. Parker and her husband Kevin of East Brookfield, two brothers; Donald Arsenault of McClean, VA and Michael Arsenault and his wife Maryanna of Wells, Maine, a sister Linda Rogers and her husband Al of Spencer, seven grandchildren; Todd, Crystal, Amanda, Nicholas, Megan, Erin & Gabrielle, three great grandchildren; Olivia, Colin & Maddison, several nieces and nephews and his beloved cat Chloe.
Kenneth was born in Spencer, son of Edward and Florence (Fairbrother) Arsenault. He was a sales manager for RCA for many years after retiring he was a custodian at Knox Trail School for 10 years and also a runner for Lamoureux Ford in East Brookfield. He tended bar at the Castle Restaurant for 20 years part time. He was a member of the Charlton City United Methodist Church and their Men's Club. He was a charter member of the Massasoit Monday night golf league. He was an avid fly fisherman and was fortunate enough to fish in Montana, Wyoming & Maine. He enjoyed making custom fishing rods and fly's, gardening and owning his own greenhouse and traveling with his family. He especially enjoyed spending time with his wife at the Casino.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, August 16 at 11:00 AM in Charlton City United Methodist Church, 74 Stafford Street, Charlton. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery in Spencer will be at a later date. Calling hours are Wednesday, August 15 from 5:00-7:00 PM in J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Jimmy Fund
