Worcester – Susan J. (Fournier) Baines, 55, of Worcester, peacefully died on Tuesday, August 7th in the Rose Monahan Hospice Residence with her family by her side.
Susan is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Sylvester C. “Clyde” Baines; her 2 sons, Sylvester C. Baines II and his wife, Donna of Danielson, CT and Justin T. Baines of Worcester; 2 daughters, Sara E. Baines and Chelsea L. Jordan and her husband, Devin all of Worcester; her parents, Alfred and Beverly (Patenaude) Fournier of Worcester; 2 step sons, Evan L. Foley of Worcester and Christopher L. Foley and his wife, Heather of Douglas; a brother, Michael Fournier of Worcester; a sister, Sharon Setaro and her husband Christopher of Worcester; 3 grandchildren, Tatyana Riviera, Sylvester C. Baines III and George I. Baines and many nephews and nieces.
Mrs. Baines was born in Worcester and graduated from Salter Secretarial School and worked for many years with the City of Worcester Department of Public Works in the payroll department and retired due to illness.
Susan was happiest when she was with her family and thoroughly enjoyed taking trips to the beach, playing card games and watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy on a daily basis with her husband.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, August 14th from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in Immaculate Conception Church 353 Grove Street. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. A calling hour will be held from 9 to 10 AM in the funeral home before the funeral.
