Spencer - Barbara M. (LaForte) Desrosiers 86, of Spencer, MA died on Sunday, August 5th, surrounded by family after a short illness. Mrs Desrosiers is survived by three sons, James Desrosiers of Leesville, South Carolina, Scott Desrosiers of Charlton, John Desrosiers of St Petersburg, FL; a daughter, Susan Whitney of West Boylston; 6 grandchildren and 7 nephews and nieces. Barbara was born in Worcester the only daughter of Arthur and Mary (Foley) LaForte.
Barbara graduated from Hahnemann School of Nursing and worked in Worcester hospitals as an RN during her career. Barbara was the devoted wife of Henry Desrosiers of 62 years prior to his passing. She was a loving mother and grandmother who always had time for her children and grandchildren. She was always up for a game of cards, scrabble or bocce.
Funeral services will be held Saturday August 11th at 10am in Christ The King Church,1052 Pleasant St. Anyone wishing to join the family for a graveside service at Worcester County Memorial Park 217 Richards Ave, Paxton, is welcome to do so.
