Leif Ingolf Kristiansson, 87
Worcester

Leif Kristiansson (June 28, 1931 - August 1, 2018) was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, the youngest of five sons of Soren and Ingeborg Christiansen. He served in the Danish Navy in Greenland, was educated as a mechanic, and immigrated to Worcester in 1957, joining his Swedish uncle and cousins and building a career in the auto business. He met his wife of 56 years, Siw (Nilsson Cederblad), at a dance at the Swedish American Club (SAC); was an active member of the Vasa Order of America as chairman of Nordic Lodge #611, District Master, and Grand Lodge Deputy; and served on the church councils of Emanuel Lutheran (Worcester) and Immanuel Lutheran (Holden). He is survived by his wife Siw, their daughter Karen (Mark) and granddaughters Mara and Kaia of California; cousin Bob Johnson (Maria) of Florida and their daughters, Mia (Kyle), Allison (Brendan), and Alexandra, and grandsons Culver and James; cousin Virginia Fullam of Massachusetts and her family; and numerous dear cousins and friends in the United States, Denmark, and Sweden.

Memorial service will be held at Nordgren Funeral Home 300 Lincoln St. Worcester on Saturday, August 11 at 10:30 a.m., with calling hours at 9:30 a.m. and burial at All Faiths New Swedish Cemetery following.
