Kenneth V. Parker of Natick, passed away Monday, July 30, 2018.
Born in Worcester, MA, he was the oldest of six children of the late Kenneth N. Parker and Ethel G. (Sawtell) Parker, loving husband for 49 yrs to the late Louise Beverly (Marsh) Parker and brother of the late David Parker.
In 1948, he graduated Natick High School and joined the Massachusetts Army National Guard. He served as Master Sergeant in 26th Reconnaissance Company, 26th (Yankee) Infantry Division until honorably discharged in May of 1956.
In his younger years Kenneth was a bowler frequenting the Fairway in Natick. He was a hard worker with strong work ethic. He also had dedication to his family and friends valuing and cherishing his time spent with them. An avid cribbage player, Ken loved to teach anyone to play that was interested in learning. He loved Natick and lived in the same neighborhood throughout his life.
He is survived by his children: Dean Parker and his wife Heather of Douglas, Edward Parker and his wife Eileen of GA, Nancy Parker and Dale Estey of Framingham, Joyce Auclair and Kevin Trenholme of Stowe; his grandchildren: Jen Gilbert of Natick, Sarah Burke of NH, Kate Inzenga of Billerica, Ryan Auclair of Saugus, Christie Wilson of Hudson and three great grand-daughters. His siblings: Dorothy Hainline of Milford, George Parker and wife Loretta, Andy Parker and his wife Ruth, Diane O’Loughin all of Natick and Nelda Parker of VA; brother-in-law Donald Marsh and wife Kathy from NY and many nieces and nephews and extended family also survive him.
A Funeral Service will be held at 12:30 P.M. Saturday August 4, 2018 in the Chapel of John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street, at Natick Common, Natick. Interment will follow at Dell Park Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held prior to service from 10:00 A.M.-12:15 P.M. at the funeral home.
