Worcester – Geraldine F. (Power) Gallant, 82, of Worcester, died on Sunday, July 29th in Saint Vincent Hospital after being stricken ill at her home.
Geraldine is survived by her 2 sons, Ralph Gallant Jr. and James Gallant, both of Worcester; two daughters, Lee Ann Wood of Leicester and Debra Therrien and her husband, Robert of Worcester; 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; a great great grandson and many nephews and nieces.
Geraldine was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Robert and Ethel (Mailman) Power and is also predeceased by two brothers, Robert Power and Calvin Power and five sisters, Jean Beatty, Vivian Johnson, Evelyn Valerio, Norma Dube and Roberta Dolan.
She worked for many years as a nurse’s aide at the former Providence House Nursing Home in Worcester. Geraldine enjoyed playing cards, doing crossword puzzles, taking trips to the casino and playing Yahtzee.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 2nd in the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 1st from 5 to 7 PM in the funeral home.
