Chicopee – Ana (Nogueira Tereso) Santos, age 83, passed away peacefully in the home she loved on July 26, 2018. She was born on Oct. 5, 1934 in Turquel, Portugal. She was the daughter of the late Manuel and Ana (Nogueira) Tereso. Ana enjoyed her retirement years cooking, gardening and being surrounded by her close family. She was an amazing seamstress and was famous for her tomatoes, fried dough, and homemade bread. She was a communicant of Holy Name of Jesus Parish in Assumption Church. She leaves her son Kevin Paulo of Portugal; 2 daughters Maria Biskup of West Springfield and Anabela Conklin of Westfield. She will be deeply missed by her 4 beloved grandchildren James, Kristin, Erica and Rachel; her son-in-laws John and Donald; along with many nieces, nephews and close friends, especially her caring neighbor Tony Sousa. She was the youngest of 11 children and is predeceased by her 6 brothers and 4 sisters who will welcome her in heaven. Calling hours will be held on the morning of the funeral, Wednesday Aug. 1, 2018 from 9:00-11:00 AM at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Name Parish in Assumption Church at 11:30 AM with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery.
