Obituary

DUDLEY – Yvonne A. "Von" (Mudgett) Kos, 78, passed away Friday, June 29, 2018 in Harrington Healthcare at Hubbard, Webster after a period of declining health.
She leaves her husband of 52 years, Clifford J Kos; 2 daughters, Kristina DeLarra and her husband Bobby DeLarra III currently of Hurricane, Utah and Kathleen Jone and her husband Ryan Jone currently of Dothan, Alabama; 4 grandchildren, Courtney Josephine "CJ" DeLarra, Austin Francis DeLarra, Shelby Yvonne Jone Turner and her husband Sean Turner, and Kelsey Michael Jone; 2 sisters, Ellen Rautkis of Charlton, MA and Sherri Weimer currently of Eagle Mountain, Utah; 3 brothers, Allen Paul Warrington of Dudley, MA, Lawrence Mudgett and Jeffery Mudgett both of Eagle Mountain, Utah, and Mark Mudgett of Northridge, CA; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Raymond Warrington and her father and mother.

She was born in Lee, Maine in 1940, the eldest child of Lawrence A. and Beulah M. (Cobb) Mudgett and was raised in Webster. She graduated from Bartlett High School in 1957 and played the clarinet in the school band. She later resided in Palmdale, California for 45 years before returning to Dudley in 2013.
In her youth, Von worked at the American Greeting Service Corp and at Sandlerette Shoe Company. She was also a bookkeeper for the Al & Ray's Diner. She was the extended care coordinator at West Side Christian School in Palmdale, CA for many years before retiring.

Mrs. Kos enjoyed crocheting items for infants. She also handcrafted full color holiday chocolate candies every year.

Many thanks to the caring staff at Webster Manor throughout the past couple of years of her battle with Alzheimer's.

The funeral will be held Friday, July 6, at 10:00 am in the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School Street, Webster. Burial will be in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace. Visiting hours will be held from 5-7 pm Thursday, July 5 in the funeral home.
