WEBSTER – Marianna “Maria” (Cetnarska) Nowak, 86, died Thursday, June 28, 2018, in Saint Vincent Hospital, Worcester after a short illness. Her husband of 26 years, Bonifacy Nowak died in 1980.
She leaves a daughter, Ursula and her husband Ryszard Kokosinski of Dudley; 5 grandchildren, Agnes & Mark Rubin, Krzysztof & Tamara Nowak, Alina & Carlos Torres, Thomas Kokosinski and Elizabeth Kokosinski; 8 great grandchildren; a niece, Monika Lech and her husband, Marek Lech, and a nephew, Andrew Lach. She was preceded in death by her son, Jozef Nowak who died in 2016 and by her sisters, Alina Lach and Lidia Marczyk.
She was born in Blogocice, Poland, the daughter of Wincenty and Eufemia (Pabian) Cetnarski and moved to Webster in 1978.
Mrs. Nowak was a spinner for Anglo Fabrics Company for many years, retiring in 1997.
She was a communicant of Saint Joseph Basilica. She enjoyed working in her vegetable and flower gardens, cooking, and baking. She treasured the time she spent with her family.
The funeral will be held Saturday, June 30, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St., Webster, with a Mass at 11:00 AM in Saint Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb Street. Burial will be in St. Joseph Garden of Peace, Webster. Visiting hours will be from 9:00 to 10:30 AM Saturday in the funeral home, prior to the Mass.
