Obituary

Barry R. McCrohon, 81, of Worcester, died Friday, June 8th in the Jewish Healthcare Center. He is survived by two daughters, Robin Belanger and her husband, Robert Hinderliter of Frederick, MD and Kim Williams with Roland Fitts of Oxford; two brothers, Robert D. McCrohon and his wife Carol and Paul E. McCrohon and his wife, Janice all of Worcester; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, Michael McCrohon, his daughter, Lynne Ann LaRue and two brothers, J. Fred and Russell K. McCrohon.
He was born in Worcester, the son of John F. and Rita E. (Turcotte) McCrohon and served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. Barry had been employed by Wyman-Gordon as an inspector, before retiring. Barry enjoyed playing cards, especially with his brothers, following all the New England sports teams and fishing. As an avid Candlepin Bowler he once rolled a 200 game and had appeared on several local bowling shows.
His funeral is Wednesday, June 13th with his funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. George Church, 40 Brattle Street. Burial will be private, there are no calling hours. O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME is assisting the family with arrangements.
