WORCESTER___Mary B. Wolochowicz, 101, of Worcester passed away on Wednesday June 6, 2018 in St. Vincent Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband, Francis B. Wolochowicz.
Mary leaves her son Chester Wolochowicz, daughter Mary Ann McCormick, son Frank Wolochowicz and wife Carol, and daughter Florence Richards and husband Donald. Grandchildren, Robert McCormick, Matthew McCormick, Sean McCormick, Jodi Hogan, Bryan Richards, Jeffrey Wolochowicz, Amy Dube and Stephen Wolochowicz, eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Mary was also predeceased by a grandson, David Richards. Mary was born on Sept. 21, 1916 in Brooklyn, New York daughter of Frank and Agatha Bandyna. She was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church.
Mary was devoted to St. Francis Xavier and with her husband and family had faithfully attended the St. Francis Novena for many years. Mary loved to read and shared books with her daughters up through her nineties. She also enjoyed conversations with family and friends. The family thanks the caring staff at the LifeCare Center of Auburn where Mary lived these past few years. Thanks also to the Eucharistic ministers from St. Joseph Church in Auburn for bringing Mother communion every Sunday.
The funeral will be held on Saturday June 9, 2018 from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St, with a Mass at 10:30 AM in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. A calling hour will be held in the funeral home on Saturday June 9, 2018 from 9:00 to 10:00 AM.
