Ollga Kentros, 89, of Worcester died Monday, June 4th in Holy Trinity Nursing and Rehabilitation Center surrounded by her family. Her husband of 60 years, George Kentros died in 2013. She leaves two daughters, Afroditi Gjini and her husband Ilia and Eli Xhai and her husband, Filip all of Worcester; four grandchildren, Vasili Gjini and his wife, Katina, George Gjini, Ira Xhai and Kosta Xhai; and a great grandson, Dimitri.
She was born in Dhuvjan, Vorio Epiro, Albania the daughter of Spiro and Eftalia (Nika) Shkokota. Ollga was a member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral.
Her funeral is Thursday, June 7th in St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell Street, with a service at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday, June 6th from 5:00 until 8:00 PM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell Street, Worcester, MA 01609 or to Holy Trinity Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 300 Barber Road, Worcester, MA 01606.
