Obituary

Worcester: Henry A. Weber, 86, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. He leaves his daughter Monica R. Sahinis, a granddaughter Alyssa K. Sahinis, a sister Renate (Weber) Neumann of Germany, many nieces and nephews in MA, and a niece and cousins in Germany. He was predeceased by his wife of 58 years- Renate H. (Schlemminger) Weber and by a son Steven H. Weber.

Henry was born in Hamburg, Germany, son of the late Arnold and Dorothea (Kantorowitz) Weber, and step-son of the late Helen Weber. He graduated from High School and served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He owned and operated Henry's Barbershop in Quinsigamond Village for many years and worked at Stop and Shop Co. as a distribution supervisor until his retirement. He was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church and the Germania Social Club. He enjoyed his lake home, boating and watching wrestling.

The family would like to thank Dr. James Hurowitz, Dr. Alan Moss, and Dr. Frank McCabe and their staffs for their many years of care, and to Jewish Hospice Care (whom his family affectionately called "Opa's Angels") for their compassionate care and support over the past 5 weeks.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 from 5-7 p.m. in Nordgren Funeral Home 300 Lincoln St Worcester. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Henry's name may be made to Concordia Lutheran Church or the Massachusetts Association for the Blind, Brookline, MA.
