Frederick L. Murray, 75, of Sandown, NH passed away unexpectedly on Monday May 21, 2018. He was born February 12, 1943 in Lowell, MA and was a son of the late Frederick and Blanche (Bocko) Murray. Fred was raised and educated in Billerica, MA and received an Associate’s Degree in computer engineering from Lowell Tech. He has been a resident of Sandown since 1972.
Fred served in the U. S. Army, 101st Airborne Division, out of Fort Campbell, KY, during the Vietnam era. He was employed as a Test Engineer at Honeywell for 30 years prior to establishing his own computer repair business. Fred was a long time coach with the Sandown Little League and Babe Ruth and was an avid Boston Sports Fan. He enjoyed landscaping around his property, especially installing and caring for his many fish ponds, whirly-gigs and feeders.
Members of the family include his loving wife of 48 years, Marilyn (Moore) Murray, his 3 sons and their wives, Jeff & Shelley Murray, Dan & Jaime Murray and Kevin & Karen Murray, six granddaughters and one grandson, Alexis, Emily, Paige, Isabelle, Cara, Kate and Ryan Frederick, three siblings, Marcia Landry, Cindy and Andy Wright and Stephen and Kathy Murray, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life service was held on Saturday May 26, 2018 at 10:00am at St. Joseph Cemetery, 96 Riverneck Road, Chelmsford, MA. A lunch reception for friends and family followed at the Princeton Station. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium of Derry, NH assisted the family with arrangements.
