Elizabeth A. Anger, 94, of Worcester died Thursday, May 3rd in St. Vincent Hospital. Her husband of 50 years, Paul J. Anger, Sr. died in 1971. She leaves two sons, Paul J. Anger, Jr. and his wife, Susan of Webster and Richard M. Anger and his wife, Jean of Auburn; a sister, Dorothy Turgeon of Millbury; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Harry H. Sadowski and five sisters, Gertrude Swett, Christine Stockmal, Marion LeBlond, Regina DePadua and Cecila Case.
She was born in Worcester the daughter of Alexander and Sophia (Warchal) Sadowski and graduated from Girls Trade. Elizabeth was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Church and the former St. Charles of Borromeo Church. She worked at Holy Cross College for 15 years in food service. She was a member of the 39ers at First Street. Elizabeth was an avid fan of the Celtics and Holy Cross. She loved plants and the people at Coes Pond Village.
The family would like to thank Miriam as well as Dr. Thomas Walsh for the longtime care and compassion he gave Elizabeth.
Her funeral is Wednesday, May 9th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street. Burial will be private. A visitation for relatives and friends will be held from 9:00 AM until 9:30 AM in the funeral home on Wednesday. Please omit flowers.
